Abstract
The rapid advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) are transforming the healthcare sector, particularly in the development of smart hospitals, by integrating cutting-edge technologies to enhance patient care, optimize resource management, and improve operational efficiency. This review explores emerging AI-driven technologies and their applications in smart hospitals, focusing on medical imaging, predictive analytics, robotic-assisted surgery, personalized treatment planning, virtual health assistants, and automated administrative processes. AIpowered diagnostics and decision-support systems enable faster and more accurate disease detection, reducing human error and improving patient outcomes. Machine learning algorithms facilitate predictive maintenance of medical equipment, optimize hospital workflows, and enhance realtime patient monitoring through IoT-enabled devices. Additionally, AI-driven telemedicine and remote patient monitoring have revolutionized healthcare accessibility, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Despite these advancements, challenges such as data security, ethical considerations, and integration complexities must be addressed to ensure seamless AI adoption in healthcare. This paper provides a comprehensive review of the latest AI innovations in smart hospitals, discussing their potential impact, challenges, and future research directions to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of modern healthcare systems.
