Abstract
AI-driven chatbots are transforming student
support and academic assistance in higher education by providing real-time,
personalized guidance to learners. These intelligent systems leverage natural
language processing and machine learning to assist students with academic
inquiries, course navigation, and administrative tasks, enhancing their overall
educational experience. By offering 24/7 availability, chatbots help bridge
communication gaps, reduce response times, and alleviate the workload on
faculty and support staff. Additionally, they can deliver personalized
tutoring, recommend study materials, and facilitate collaborative learning
through interactive engagement. Their ability to analyze student behavior and
provide adaptive learning strategies contributes to improved retention rates
and academic performance. Moreover, AI-powered chatbots play a crucial role in
mental health support, addressing student concerns with immediate assistance
and directing them to appropriate resources when necessary. As higher education
institutions continue to integrate these intelligent systems, they must ensure
ethical AI implementation, data privacy, and continuous improvements based on
user feedback. The integration of AI-driven chatbots into educational
ecosystems has the potential to redefine student engagement, fostering a more
efficient and inclusive learning environment.
