Realizing the under development of scheduled castes in education, the UGC and the Government has formulated many of the reservation and scholarship schemes so as to increase education among scheduled castes. Still, the statistics pertaining to scheduled castes shows that, compared to all other castes, the educational development among scheduled castes is lower.
