With the advent of 21^st century, revolutionary changes in the communication system is occurring, every citizen of the country is now having a communication device. Therefore, if ICT is properly utilized then there will be equal opportunity for quality education to all the people of the country. Indian Government has taken a number of initiatives, and awarded a no. of e-content development projects under NME-ICT for the growth and development of e-learning environment. The targeted users are not fully availing the e-learning opportunity of such initiatives. NME-ICT creates high quality e-content for the target groups and on the others. In this article author highlighted National Mission on Education through ICT, National Program on Technology Enabled Learning, Gyankosh, Sakshat, Institute of Life Long Learning, GyanKosh, e-PGPathshala, and Shodhganga.
